Miguel Carvalhais and Pedro Tudela

Pedro Tudela (b.1962) is a visual and sound artist. Miguel Carvalhais (b.1974) is a designer and musician. Both are assistant professors at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto. Music was one of the meeting points between the two, who founded the transdisciplinary project @c in 2000 and the Cronica label in 2003, which publishes experimental and electronic music.

They are the authors of more than 20 national and international albums and have performed live on some of the main stages in Portugal and beyond, often collaborating with other musicians.

From music, the artistic partnership between Pedro Tudela and Miguel Carvalhais quickly expanded into the field of installation, where sound is the basis for the development of site-specific multimedia projects that wander through contexts of complex sensory activation of audiences and are necessarily linked to deployment environments.
