The artists Andr\u00e9 Conde, Mpex and Tom\u00e1s Tello will present contemplative and experimental electronic music, often supported by analogue instruments, producing original and unforgettable sounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Andr\u00e9 Conde<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Doctorate in Music and Musicology, specialising in Interpretation (University of \u00c9vora), Master's in Orchestral Performance - trombone (Zurich University of the Arts), Master's in Solo Performance - trombone (Zurich University of the Arts), bi-tapical degree in Orchestral Instrumentalist (Academia Nacional Superior de Orquestra). M-PeX<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n M-PeX is a multi-instrumentalist musician, composer, sound designer and producer whose musical identity is characterised by the Portuguese guitar as a solo instrument in diverse sound environments, including electronic music. His creations seek to modernise and globalise this traditional instrument of Portuguese culture, culminating in a bold and innovative musical confluence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Born in Lisbon, Marco Pinheiro Miranda began playing the Fado guitar at an early age with his grandfather Lu\u00eds Pinheiro, a master of the Portuguese guitar, accompanying him at numerous Fado houses and private events. Shortly afterwards, his grandfather gave him his first Portuguese guitar and passed on the technique, school and methods. Enthusiastic about producing electronic music, and refusing to confine the Portuguese guitar to the universe of Fado, in 1999 he adopted the stage name M-PeX, creating a sound in which he combines the Portuguese guitar with this musical segment. As a physical engineer, and in parallel with his artistic activity, he dedicates himself to scientific research into the effect of music and sound on human brain waves, with areas of interest in sound-music computing, sonification and generative musical composition, signal processing, brain-machine interfaces, EEG mapping, EEG sonification and other (bio)signals. He is also dedicated to the composition and production of original soundtracks (authorship and co-authorship), as well as licensing, arranging, remixing, sound design, editing, production and post-production of audio for cinema, television, theatre, web, video games and radio, as well as recording, mixing and mastering. His most recent albums - CYNETIK-1 (2023) and LIVRE (2024) - were released by Enough Records as part of the PRALAC artist residency in LAC. He has been a lecturer in trombone and chamber music at the University of \u00c9vora since 2017, and has also taught trombone and chamber music at various institutions over the years, including the Academia Nacional Superior de Orquestra, the Escola de M\u00fasica do Conservat\u00f3rio Nacional, among others.
He has carried out artistic residencies promoted by the National Arts Plan in the fields of music, arts and technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His work is deeply inspired by ancient musical forms and ambient sounds. He is also interested in the possibilities for a musician to multiply. To achieve this multiplicity he uses a varied set of instruments including electronic D.I.Y., cassette walkmans, interference devices, guitars, samplers, voices, flutes, bells, etc. His intention is to express concern for contemplation, patience and to establish a close, warm and fruitful relationship with the sounds that surround us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
