André Sier

ANDRÉ SIER (1977) works artistically with code, electronic, interactive, digital and conventional media, where he combines video games, installations, painting, sculpture, music, maths and computing in electronic art objects and experiences, in which he fuses mythology, interfaces, generative space-time continuums, non-human art-science constructs.

Award-winning artist at New Art Fest (2017), three times at Lisbon Maker Faire (2014, 15, 16), Bienal de Cerveira (2009) and Jovens Criadores (2006).

Over the last 22 years he has produced objects and serial interactive work, which playfully unveil spatial-temporal relationships synthesised in electronic substrates, shown in more than 27 national and international solo exhibitions, more than 100 exhibitions and collective events.

He has exhibited his work at the MNAC (2017, 2016), Museu de São Roque (2011) and MEIAC (2006) museums. André Sier is an electronic artist with a degree in sciences, arts, computing, a degree in philosophy, a digital and electronic arts educator currently teaching at the University of Évora, and a PhD candidate in technoethical arts at the Planetary Collegium.
